Shoreline Property Owners: Tell the county what you think about your Bulkhead

Shoreline Landowner Restoration Interest Survey

Kitsap County has received an EPA Watershed Assistance Grant to identify shorelines with the best sediment sources, habitat, and landowner interest in restoration.  The study may result in opportunities for assistance with voluntary restoration projects for shoreline landowners.  Please consider filling out our Shoreline Landowner Restoration Interest Survey.

  1. We are a property owner on Liberty Bay. We installed a rock bulk head years ago. We have noticed we have a greater mud flat every year covering what used to be clam beds. High tides & heave rains are washing silt from other unprotedted dirt banks. True more boats & high tides are causing this problem. I do believe more bulk heads will protect the tide lands more than no bulkheads. We have followed this change first hand for 50 years. How many others have watched it more closley?
