CP Remand Status: Eric Baker, Special Projects Manager, Kitsap County Commissioners (Est. 30 min.)

Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS), Comprehensive Plan, Capital Facilities Plan & Development Regulations

Deliberation/Recommendations: Shoreline Master Program – David Greetham, Senior Planner, DCD (Est. 2 hrs.) (Closed to public testimony)

It is anticipated that this is the last of the Public deliberations hearing. Items to be covered:

  • Sierra Club/Futurewise Natural Designations (staff review)
  • Aquaculture
  • Port Gamble Community Development Plan

There will be a final Public meeting that will address formal adoption. Public Testimony will be taken at this final session

  1. I am at a loss to understand the basis for shrinking UGAs when the law at time of enactment declared that we decide what areas are urban in nature and give them that designation. This was done. I’m at a loss as to how what was designated urban can be turned rural. This isn’t Detroit with abandoned houses by the sco re..
    As to the setbacks and telling waterfront owners that what they have is an exemption, is setting the stage to screw them, something that angers me greatly. The law is clear. “Non-conforming uses shall be phased out.” Setbacks beyond 50 feet are unnecessary. along the developed waterfront unless there are steep slopes, etc.
