Apr 24: Bainbridge Island Murden Cove Watershed Study

The city of Bainbridge Island is hopping on board a bandwagon of local organizations to study the Murden Cove Watershed, and help it thrive.”Given the challenges facing the Murden Cove Watershed, it was clear that improving water quality conditions would require a comprehensive multi-agency and community investment,” said Cami Apfelbeck, city water oesources specialist and project manager

The goal of the study is to identify the watershed’s sources of nutrients and bacteria. The information can be used to help educate the local community, and provide assistance when attempting to reduce nutrient and bacteria in the watershed.

Islanders are invited to the projects kickoff event from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 at the Grange Hall at 10340 Madison Avenue.
