Board dismisses petition against Poulsbo comp plan

POULSBO — The Growth Management Hearings Board ruled the city of Poulsbo did not violate state laws during its annual update of its comprehensive plan. The three-member board this week dismissed a petition filed in September by three Poulsbo residents: Rita Hagwell, Jan Wold and Molly Lee. All three have property in the Johnson Creek corridor in west Poulsbo. They argued that the city’s comp plan update, passed in May 2012, violated the Growth Management Act. The bulk of the changes came from a document known as the Urban Paths of Poulsbo, a long-range plan to connect neighborhoods by adding bike lanes and trails.
